Home network rewire
Ran proper ethernet from the garage router to the rest of the house.
The wireless setup had been limping along for years — dead spots in two rooms, the TV dropping out mid-episode, and a router stuffed in a closet that was never going to reach the far side of the house. Eventually "just live with it" stopped being an option.
The plan was simple on paper: run Cat6 from the garage router to a small patch panel, then out to each room that actually needed a wired drop. In practice it meant an afternoon with fish tape, a lot of swearing at one particularly stubborn stud, and a new appreciation for whoever originally wired this house.
Everything that used to drop Wi-Fi just works now. No more restarting the router as a personality trait.
